It really depends on who you work for. You need to check out the retailer or contractor you are working for. Some do only local and others do an entire area, depends on if its Dish or Direct. Some give gas reinburstment, some have a pay scale which includes a gas reinburstment, however I did Dish and Dtv for more than 13 years for different companies and all required you to have your own tools and equipment, only 2 companies I've worked for included drop supplies paid. I always had to get my own. The satellite and cable industry are cut-throat jobs, charge backs, slow to pay most times, sometimes not at all, a lot of things are out of your own pockets. Things you need to get the job done you get yourself just to get paid for the job. You do get more pay, mind you not much more. Dish and DTV will tell a customer everything is free and it is not.
