Do not screw around with this!
Go to your local court house and get the collection process started. Your public library will have your state law on how and what you can collect. Save & copy the check.
Do not return it until paid.
Collection costs could be one third of the value of he check if you use a lawyer or collection company so ask for that amount when you sue. Each stste is different on all this.
