Magic Jack in the Middle East

Anyone have any info on how well the Magic Jack works in Middle East? A friend of mine will be in Jordan and will have access to high speed internet, and was wondering about it... I know some on here have worked over there and was looking for suggestions or experiences. Thanks for any info.
