Be very careful when saying a KS terminator is bad by NOT reading 75-ohms. In reality...you will not!!!! This is because the 75-ohm internal resistor is protected by a capacitor, if it were not, it would burn up. The best way (I can tell you) is to hook a "test jig" up with a tap and KS terminator. Put a "housing to F" at the input. Hook up a sweep or some sort of analyzer and get a "flat" response or carriers. Do this with a KNOWN good terminator, then switch to a "bad" terminator. The levels/sweep should yield a "reflection" and case proven.
Good Luck!
