These terminators had a faulty design using a "cat's Whisker' type of contact. They were redesigned in the late 90's and many systems replaced them outright. it sounds like your system missed the notices about this problem. I would contact your LRC rep and see if they will replace the stock and the faulty ones. Then you only have to provide the replacement labor.
