If you are a W-2 employee .... The employeer cannot legally backcharge the employee for QC or property damage. They can come at you wanting you to sign a form authorizing a payroll deduction equal to the backcharge, but they cannot force, coerce, or threaten you into signing it.
That company owner knows that when he has employees .... that's the cost of doing business.
If you ARE a W-2 based employee and have paid "backcharges" over the past 3 years, contact your local office of the Department of Labor and have a chat with them.
