joe has some good ideas.........
but you can also file a lein on the customers home (check with your state)
if you are going to do this, first send the customers a intent to file a lein letter...explain you were the sub-contractor & the contractor did not pay you. state the amount yopu are owed.
this will get the customer to call DTV or Dish...then DTV or dish may make the contractor pay you.
also it gets the home owner a chance to pay you, then sue the contractor
