Look! If you ae an employee your EMPLOYER will record your time on job and evaluate your work.....etc.
As a contractor you provide a product but have control over all factors. You are paid upon acceptance / completion. You bid a price based upon a presentation of conditions etc.
Sadly this is an old issue. New guys with the best motivation and training meet the same olds ass holes who see the new guys and offer all kind of bull.........
