You hear a lot of talk about buying gold, silver, stones and energy as a hedge against runaway inflation, recession, and depression. But mark my words on this: At some point in the future, near or not so near, gold and it's allies will be totally worthless to the average man that has it, even a wealthy man.
A government that is out of control and bent on socialism or tyranny can confiscate ANY wealth you do have for their own means.
And in reality, todays reality, the new gold is political power, military might, information, and broad socialistic laws being enforced on the citizenry, ie., emminent domain.
The citizens only wealth, and protection, will be weapons and the organization of individuals with the will and stomach to fend off a trynannical governemnt.
Just my two cents, I'm only an old cable dawg.
