Re: Bailout!!!

I enjoyed reading all your responses on this. Its a good look at different views on both sides (whether to do it or not). I for one am torn. From what i can tell bad business practices was the reason for the great depression. Oversight is needed. I'm not smart enough to know the whole complexity of the situation but I truly worry that if we don't do anything the money will freeze up, meaning the people that have the money will hold on to it for fear of losing even more. On the other hand if we do this are we gonna have to do it again for the people with all the money? I also don't like the fact that the gov just popped this out on us this week and just expect us to say "ok, give them 700 billion". I really hope they don't give any of these bad companies a big severance package for doing such a bad job.
