I re-read my own post and still can't find the part where i said anything about the gov. owning land? The gov. is supposed to represent the folks in this country! Kinda like the water ways. They belong to the people (which is us)! People don't seem to get the part about the "gov." IS us! At least that's the way it was meant to work! The gov. is supposed to be there to "protect" our rights, not dictate what those rights are and change them as we go along. Cripes, how those folks applying for citizenship supposed to get it right if those of us born here can't seem to figure it all out! Those new citizens have to pass a civics test with an understanding of how the system works! I'm guessin' more than half the country couldn't pass the test!
