Aye .... Just ask your inside source. He'll share the starting range with you. If he doesn't, you are allowed to visit your Human Resources office and they will have the posted starting pay range.
If HR won't for some reason tell you .... then raise your eyebrows.
It would be like agreeing to buy a car only they'll tell you the price after you sign the contract.
