yes you are right Chuck, in my book it is illegal as well, they went to jail for modifying dtv/dish equipment. meaning, if it has a dtv/ dish logo on it ,you can not modify it. it was built for that comp to descramble the signal to receive their product. if you build or design it yourself its a hobbie . your just building a device to pick up a signal in the free airways.
