Re: Working on Labor Day???

As a contractor I have never worked any holidays. Maybe this is because I work out of town all the time. When your doing a construction upgrade the MSO always shuts down for just about any holiday you can think of. They dont want any disruption of service on those days. I always take 2-3 weeks off for Christmas and 10 days off for Thanksgiving. On labor day here the MSO shut us down for 3 days so I think it is very easy working as a linemen and not having to work on holidays. If you are inhouse it is a different story.
