Re: Who does the make ready?

Northwest One is correct if you need make ready done to achieve clearance the the customer will have to go thru the channels and request the work to be done and pay for the costs involved.
This is not to be taken lightly and will add considerable expense to the job also these phone and power work at their own pace and can cause considerable distress on the rebuild manager. In one case I recently went thru I was charged $750 to raise one triplex plus the paper work involved to get it done was a real pita. A typical pole replacement for added height with just an inline pole runs about $4500 don't even ponder corner poles with multiple transformers your talking $10 to $12k, I usually look at u/g dip or direction drilling in these cases. These added costs should be looked at carefully as they will always blow the projected budget, I usually pad a rebuild budget about 40% due to these unexpected incidents then if I come in under budget I look like a hero!(wiggle)
