who ever owns the lines that need to be moved. I doubt the phone companies would want catv linemen movin' lines when they don't comprehend the weight and tensions involved. I'll give ya an example, FCI was doin' a build for SNET a lot of their guys were entry level, they would have 'em drive for experienced linedawgs for a short time then give 'em their own trucks. the build was bottom gain road side, simple huh? not the case, these newbees did mostly drive off strand.when they came to a road crossing where they didn't have proper clearance they'd stop and pick up on the other side, yet they called themselves phone linemen, pretty sad huh? don't even want to get started on when we had some 10m to run top gain field side, lots of self called dawgs came home with their tails between their legs. sorry for the book but ya touched a sore spot.
the linemen are slimein' but at least they're still climbin'
