many of us...learn by concreate method (hands on)
if I read it it barely makes an impression on me
I gotta get dirty in order to understand how it all works
get into the messy parts like service calls and ask lots of questions
it's actually very hard - speaking from personal exp. only
......to get somewere that will actually allow you to learn
allow you to ask questions - oh my !!!!does that guy actually try to know what he's talking about?/ work with?
most of the guys I have come accross have been VERY one dimentional
they only care about getting the job completed without understanding what will happen when he does this or that
I look at it this way: If I can wrap my head around the how's and why's....I never have to go back= more money for me - I can use that time to do jobs that actually pay instead
in doing things this way it sure does take longer per job whatever it may be BUT those that I work with know that I can be counted on to do it right the first time and NEVER question this guy!
