if you have DTV
follow the directions through the menue setup screen
it will tell you step by step according to your zip code

if you are doing it alone and have no meter
take a 2nd phone in front of the tv and listen through the other while you are out peaking the dish- do it by tone
the faster and higher it is the stronger the signal
if you are pacient you should be able to get the screen to read around 97-99% on transponder 1
no reason not to get at least one transponder to read 100%
should be able to get 4 or more to read that high
