Unless you regularly QC the veteran techs and send the new guys with proven good ones. It is still a bad idea because that tech will not run into all situations and the new guy is held responsible for things that he was never trained on. New guys need a written and practical test as well as an extensive ride along. Most companies don't care they will just backcharge. Some supposed veteran techs will only teach the newbies bad ways.
