Oldlinedawg is right once again. The size of the cable has nothing to do with the pair count. If you had a BKMH 100 and a ANAW 25, they would be about the same diameter, while the 25pr would be a fraction heavier. So as well as gauge, the weight and diameter is affected by how many sheaths and the type of sheaths. There are types of 900 that are bigger than types of 1800.

Back to the .96 a foot. If you are supplied a truck equipped to do copper, with all the tools, gas and ins. paid, exterior(road) and the work is there everyday, how could you go wrong? If my math is right, thousand foot lashed = $960. That is a VERY obtainable footage for one day with a two man crew. Let me stress VERY for exterior work.

If the driver is worth a damn give him $200, you get $760. Divide that by eight, that would = $95 an hour for you, $25 for the guy who only has to drive. It has been 12 yrs since I worked piece, but back then there were lots of little units that added up to even more coin.
