Getting Shot installing Cable i

A man was shot late Thursday during an attempted robbery outside a Tulsa home.

The man was installing cable at another man's house in the 13500 block of East 38th Place about 10:30 p.m., according to a preliminary police report.

Two armed men opened the home's interior garage door and stated it was a robbery. The homeowner grabbed the barrel of one of the guns, and the other robber's gun went off, hitting the cable installer in the arm.

The victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital with a non-life-threatening gun wound.

The two robbers ran from the house in an unknown direction and were not found. They were described as black and in their late 20s.

One was about 6 feet tall, 160 to 170 pounds and wearing a blue baseball cap, jeans and a red bandanna over his face. The other man was about 5 foot 10 and 150 to 160 pounds.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS or can text or e-mail the Tulsa Police Department at tulsaworld.com/crimestopperstips. The Crime Commission offers rewards for information leading to arrests, and those reporting information can remain anonymous.(confused)
