Well I guess someone didn't like my exceeding the weight limitations of the ladder as a cause of failure..

back in the old days I weighed 265# and with the 25 plus pounds my tool belt, tools and diddy bag weighed roughly 290 pounds on a 300# rated ladder, close but not over, then you go and throw an SA 450 BTD Trunk amp over your shoulder that's another 65# built for a total of 355# well that's Static weight.. Now another force comes into play.. mean old mr. gravity... called G-Force.. so every time you take a step you are exerting roughly 1.3 G's on the item you are stepping on, so just an estimate @ 355# the actual weight is more closer to 435# of asserted weight.

and that is 135# over the rated capacity of the product, so my statement in regards to maybe going on a diet was to the fact that if you are close to the rated capacity take a 5gal pail and rope it up, tie a rope around what you need to get to strand level.

so in closing it's just plain old OE.. Operator Error
