Re: Driveway Bores

a company called tanaka sells a gas powered drill, the torque is awsome, they cost about $350. go to a fab shop and ask for a ten foot peice of 1/2 in rod with threaded ends. and find a bit about 3/4 inch and have it welded to a starter rod. initial setup will cost some money, but they are quick and if you can bore well, you wont have to many problems. you can also have a tiny hole drilled into the bit so you can attach a steel leader that has a swivel (fishing leader).

anyways, i used it for two seasons boring driveway, it worked well.
