It is a contract issue!
"Installer will have a 28' FG ladder with hooks. Mid spans are part of the job & pd for.
Still when the ladder becomes vertical...you pass. I did once......caught minor crap for not climbing a vertical hooked ladder. .....A few months later another tech tried it, at the same spot, fell & died.
My observation was that the mgr I called only thought about the problem with getting a truck for a mid span.........we can get more installers is what I heard.
