Yep, the danger of the job dictates the pay.
If your eff-ups can't kill anyone, the job doesn't pay well.
If your eff-up can kill you, the pay gets better.
If your eff-up can kill lots of people, the pay gets real damn good.
That's why good airline pilots make the big bucks. An eff-up makes the news for weeks, and makes for re-runs on History channel.
