Re: OTJ shorts

Hey Cablehawk, If I'm in total easement and have to hook all day, then I have my Levis on ( I always cut out the rivets at the top of my pockets). I don't think it is a very good idea to climb in shorts even though I have done it before. But if you are working a bucket and it keeps you cooler, then what's the beef. I've never heard a man in the field working complain about others wearing shorts, only supervisors that pull up in an air-conditioned truck and roll their windows down a couple of inches (as to not loose any of that cold air) and tell guys that they need to wear long pants or a shirt with sleeves. I spoke with a man from OSHA a while back and he said that they had no problem with a lineman in a bucket truck wearing shorts. I guess it boils down to preference and I prefer to be as cool as possible in this blazing sun.....(sunny)(sunny)(sunny)...take care ...Phil
