I use to drive a 2000 7.3 ford bucket truck and it got about 11 mpg on hwy. I now drive a 2000 chevy 3500hd diesel bucket truck and im lucky to get 7 mpg. the ford also had more power when on the interstate and could take the hills better. The ford was a f350. If I had it to do all over again I would get another ford. I do not know about dodge bucket trucks.
