I have an 86 chev 1 ton, gas, 8 miles a gallon, it is made for power, not mileage. years ago I had a ford 1 ton van, 15 miles a gallon, fuel was $1.10 a gallon, and I was clearing 1500 a week in cable. This chev will eat a 20 bill in a hurry. Thats the thing I would suggest is to look for how the rig is geared as much as the motor size.
