Re: Splicing Specs


The system you're in "should" have specs to pass on! Each system is different, i.e. backloops opposed to 180's, Lids opening to the street or following strand, loops in the bottom of raised vaults/peds, etc. Been my inexperienced most splicers will follow whatever system they last worked in! If ya look at existing plant and someone tells you the MSO demands a particular method that doesn't coinside with what they actually have, your gonna confuse (piss off) someone that gets paid by the piece! Put it in writing (with a diagram) and you will eliminate the discussion! That's fairly basic Biz 101! Does the backfeed determine the output loop? You tell me and that's what you'll get! If ya make me "guess" and then try not to pay me, we're gonna have problems where none should exist! Later, Mike M.
