was this on a verizon fios job? We test everything in-house reqardless if the splicing was contracted out or done in-house. Our contractors up here never do the testing on fiber that they have spliced. Now saying that. I have come across some of our own in-house guys that have done that very same thing on jobs that they spliced. Just keep testing the same fiber on a terminal and change the count. When we test it shows the distance as well so the test results would have to the right distance.
