In FTTH most are requiring a bi-directional light insertion test and some also require ORL.(optical return loss) EXFO has units- FOT 920's and 930's and AFL- Noise has Turbo Test 500B's . These units will shoot both directions on multiple wavelengths and do ORL all in about 20 seconds.
