IF the felony was 19 years ago and there is nothing else, get your record expunged.
Every state is different but you can get a copy of any record through the Freedom of Information Act.
The point of these background checks is to predict future conduct. The records are to help find people who habitually offend. They have long, recent records. Nineteen years ago is not what they are looking for.
Good luck and know that if there was ever money in installation work, those days are gone.
