Plenum Cable and Connectors

Using plenum cable , CAt-6, for the first time. I started to put connectors on and it took about an hour to do 1 jumper. Is there a certain connector for Cat-6 plenum cable? Or what am I doing wrong. I am doing everything that I would for standard Cat-5, and yes I am using Cat-6 connectors. But the coating on this cable makes it extremely difficult to slide in to place. Thanks
