Contracting is a BUSINESS

I'm not trying to jerk anyones chain, but that amazes me. Why would anyone go back to a disco more than once, when you're getting only 21.50 to go there and do it. I'm assuming that is the contractor price, not the subs. Why agree to go back multiple times for NO EXTRA COMPENSATION. I would never agree to that. It just plain doesn't make financial sense. I have seen those jobs advertised, and I question the sanity of anyone that is willing to work under that agreement, by going to someones house multiple times for free, lol. Who do you get that agrees to work for that?. They must be loosing money with the amount that they get paid. Or, they are all lying and just claiming they are going back multiple times.

There just doesn't seem to be many left who treat contracting as a business? If the MSO wants me to go back multiple times, in most markets now I would be happy to go back.....for about $25 for each return trip, so I could pay the field tech $12.50 or so to cover their expenses and time, in a proper manner. If I can't get an amount that will mean a profit for all involved, THEN WHY DO IT?

What the hell makes all of these contractors think they OWE the MSO's FREE labor?????? What is wrong with so many of the contractors out there. And who is it that thinks so little of themselves, that they will do anything they are told, even to the point of losing money? Maybe they need to take a business 101 class, lol. If you can't make money providing a service, then don't provide that service. Don't be the fool that does it for a loss. Let the MSO's raise their prices they are willing to pay, or they can do it in house, or let some other fool loose their ass doing it. Don't make it you.

If someone thinks they are just doing a "favor" to the MSO and will reap the rewards in the future for doing that favor........ You are so wrong!!!! The MSO's are laughing at you. MSO's have absolutely no memory retainage of favors.............none! You are like a spouse being abused, that thinks the abuser will change, that the abuse won't happen again. The truth is, it will happen again,.... and again, and again. You perpetrate the abuse by accepting it.
