Re: Disconnect Contract

I don't think your idea is any kind of a revolution, lol. Nothing wrong with trying to better yourself in my eyes. $20, maybe even $25 may work. You're right, the cable industry is very poorly ran, for the most part. But if you actually get a contract, be ready to loose it with no advanced notice. As a matter of fact, the MSO may very well demand that you bring on an additional 20, 30, 50 or more people, only to dump you as a contractor after you get them, and then give all your trained techs to another "buddy" contractor. If you pay bribes to get work, then your bribes will have to forever increase, and when they fire the guy your paying bribes to, you'll lose your contract.

But what ever price you get, there will be ten contractors offering to do it for less, and the MSO will give the work to one of them (most likely one of your own guys starting their own contract). And so on and so on.

In short, if you want to make money in this business, it is not too hard, if you don't have a heart, or compassion, and like to lie, cheat, steal, bribe, extort, duck and run, and only care for yourself, etc.

But if you have integrity, honor, knowledge, concern and care for your fellow tradesman, and their families.................then forget about it, you're too late!
