Inhouse is better if you can handle the low wages, (bennifits, treated like a person for some of them), help but not for me. if not then installs for a contractor is better because you will have work virtually everyday, other aspects of the job are hit and miss, but when you have customers waiting for you the MSO will ablige them first with your presents, lol. plus the triple plays pay pretty good depending on the MSO and the area you are living, northeast seems to pay better. but allways learn to ask for the payrate sheet & READ the contract of very thoroughly as they can spell disaster for a contractor. I read a contract for FST, in Dallas and they will backcharge you 300.00 for a no call/no show, and 150.00 for not closing your route out in the evening after work is done, true it is the contractors responsability to do both of these and I would strongly suggest that you do it just to help yourself shine in the eyes of the contractor, but as we know anything can happen, no signal areas, sub on the phone long distance and not ready to relinquish the phone to you, in time. scarry situations. good luck.
