I'm actually using my laptop and someone else's unsecured network because my service is so bad today.
It seems that they must have overdriven an amp or something as there's some distortion on the higher channels on analog. My CM levels were 11.2 down, 48.1 up and SNR is 27.5. Well, in order to get the receive down without effin up the transmit, I slapped on about a 100' coil of RG6 behind my modem. My receive is at 5.2 and transmits at 49 and SNR is still 27.6.
I'm guessing its an overdriven amp since the receive signal is much higher than its ever been and now I've got "busy" snow on my upper channels. I want to call COX but the accounts in my wife's name and she's out of town. They'll just want to roll a residential tech and I don't have a lot of faith that they can do something I can't. I need the escalation to plant maintenance so I'll probably just have to call out for service. This sucks.
FC13, any chance you want to check out some plant in the NW valley?
HSI sucks today.
