Odd question. I got that same question by a black officer releasing me from jail (FTA on vehicle registration ticket). I told him that given that VICK isn't a traditional African surname and that many American blacks took on the surname of their former masters, it was a possibility his ancestors were the property of my ancestors.
He also commented how I probably wished I was with all the money he's got. I told him Vick would be getting tossed in jail soon enough. This was before the whole dogfighting scandal. Was i ever right! Besides heritage is more important than money.
