There is VERY little material in 7.1...DD 5.1 is the industry standard for good reason...People are not interested in...nor do they have the space...for 8 speakers...They are lucky to have space for 6...I myself had to replace my 5.1 AVR last year...I replaced it with a 5.1 system...DD TrueHD is only 5.1 even...
