Blue, lets not forget that Russia is the largest country in the world and have every bit as good a military as we and huge reserves of oil and nukes and Putin. Once our carriers and subs were knocked out we would have no other alternative than to have a massive retaliatory strike or succumb to, as Nixon put it, peace with honor. Keep in mind that global annihilation is a very real possibility and if that were to occur their would be no winners.
