Re: DTV Head On Unit

Don't skimp on connectors or cable jumpers buy the best. Be sure you have clean power. Watch out for things like elevator motors kicking in and causing ac noise induction. Run the best ground you can and ground everything correctly. Have electrician run isolated lines to head end. Be sure head end room is well ventalated, not crammed in some closet next to a blast furnace.

You didn't mention the condition of the cable and connectors to the rooms, old splitters etc. Are they all home runs or do they use variable style db taps. If the existing cable is the old tv (copper shield) about the diameter of a piece of spaghetti make them replace it. If 59 or 6, change out connectors at each room. Make them pay or sign disclaimer stating the existing conditions.

In other words, your equipment will most likely work fine, but remember its part of an overall system and hooking good to bad and you will have to buy that stuff for your head..... "Head ON.. I hate that commercial but your product is great stuff."
