I've generally seen higher install rates with DISH, especially if you stay away from fulfillment altogether and just hook up with a few local retailers.

Dish's DVRs only require one coax to the dish in most cases, making installs much easier. DirecTV DVRs require two lines. Many contracts dictate a phone line must be installed. Also, the DirecTV KAKU dish for HD is a large dish and should pay at least 50 more than a regular one but most places either pay the same or at best, 15 more. All the extra coax for dual runs, plus quad runs from dish to switch means that you eat up a lot of materials with DirecTV and for less pay.

In any case, be prepared for cheap ass customers who think nothing of the value of your time. They think you work for free. I tell them that as soon as they can get a plumber or electrician out there for free, I'll reconsider.
