The cable business for small operators

Being a small cable operator today is tough, the programing is going up at a fast clip. The people that own the programing don't give a hoot whether or not you make a go of it.The power companys go up a dollar or 2 a year headed towards $25 per pole a year. We don't own any programing like Comcast and TWC so it puts us at a disvantage.I figure theres 200 small cable systems in the state of Texas either all ready dark are on the verge of it. Thats 200 small citys that will not have a chance of getting cable and internet from an indepenant source.I think the US government should help out small operators .Any ideas.Chuck
