the problem with dico'ing at the house is that you now have an unterminated antennae attached to the plant.
I cant count how many times Ive tracked a source of ingress or a leak to this problem.
Its one thing to track it to an active customer but to get there and know that someone was here before and didn't do their job.
Who knows when that residence is going to be active again. Leaving that drop attached to the tap is like pulling the pin and walking away, eventually its gonna explode.
Ok maybe thats a bit dramatic but you get my point.
