When we first started working for Mike Marciano, owner of RMI, pay was regular and usually on time or close. This was for Cox in New Orleans. After a couple of months, pay started getting later and later. One time he fed exed a check two weeks late and back charged us for the fedex fee. Another time he didn't sign the check. Another time he got our company name wrong, and the bank wouldn't honor the check.
After having a of New Orleans, two of us went on to Phoenix and our third partner went to Philadelphia, still with RMI. Mike did advance us money for travel expenses. Once we arrived and work commenced it was the same old thing with the checks. Ron Diamond ran the job in Phoenix for RMI, but all the checks came directly from Mike Marciano. Ron was a good man to work with and deserves no blame for the failure of RMI to pay on time. Ron would come and pay our hotel bill when we were about to get evicted because our check didn't arrive. Ultimately, RMI asked Cox for more money on the Phoenix job and was turned down. Mike announced he was pulling out and we never saw a dime after that. Also did not receive a Form 1099 this year.
