I find it surprising that you find it surprising that the Dems have nothing better to offer. There is always Nader for the undecided Dems. Choosing the lesser of incompetence is still choosing incompetence. Why not have someone who knows little about economics, by his own admission, at least you have someone who is honest enough to tell you what his limitations are.
Look, in the coming years we are going to have very severe economic crisis's and more wars. At the very least we will have someone who understands war and how to carry it out. As for economics, hell most people do not understand it anyway and the next president is not going to be able to stop the avalanche thats coming.
