most of the lead I messed with in easements was wreck-out in the 80's when the EPA in Ct. said tear it down. it got tricky on them peanut poles. don't know how them skinny sticks held that stuff up at 9&1/2 pounds a foot. I used to like wreckin' out the whole pole line best, guy off your start and stop points, notch and back cut each pole cut out 3 ft of lead cut the strand and let er rip. ya could feel the ground shake.
the linemen are slimein' but at least they're still climbin'
