We just looked at those. You can't get them so the dealers will not budge on their price at 32,000 and some change. You cannot do anything to the vehicle that you didn't order or it will void the warranty. The batteries have been problematic to get and are way expensive. They only work to about 35 mph. If you put a hitch on it, auto start or even a block heater it voids the warranty. So you have to get it from the factory set up the way you want it. The cost and hassle for us, wasn't worth the extra cost and wasn't going to save us any money for 8 years. On another note the Escape is the best hybrid for gas mileage to date for its class. I know that there are ways to get so much mileage from a car it isn't funny. It is suspect that the technology gets buried but we know who is responsible for that. Check this attachment out.
