Ladder Safety, Harness or Belt?

Had a friend call and ask if body harnesses were replacing body belts for ladder work on poles? I know they work great in bucket and tower work, but, I'm old school, and like a belt so I can use both hands to work. I was wondering if anyone saw this where you are working? To me a harness is only useful after the fact. It provides no support to the body so both hands are free to work, even more so if your at the top of the ladder, vertical to the pole. What do you think?
