If you just plan to do the install it is really straight forward. One exception is that most designs do not place an enclosure at every pole like a tap. That means you will usually have a few more jump poles. Depending on the ONT/ONU that the MSO is using it's like mounting a SDU box. The powering to the box depends on which ONT/ONU is used. For the rest of the install it is as simple as a jumper to the existing coax network, a jumper to the NID (phone junction) and possibly running cat 5 to a computer or router. If you plan to splice the fiber is it mechanical or fusion? Fusion gets a little pricey if you have idiot's working for you and they drop the machine. The average install without splicing is around 140-200 depending on single,double or triple play install. Add another 100-250 for the fusion splice, depending on re-entry or new enclosure.
